Best *nice* restaurant in Rice Lake. Butch & Trudy run a great ship & a grand family tradition that spans generations. They even let spouse & I bring our own particular brand of bubbly for our anniversary & didn't charge corkage. Fried chicken and popovers are not to be missed. I'm partial to the swordfish and crab legs. French onion soup au gratin is a house specialty. Horseshoe-shaped bar is very conducive to socializing without being rowdy. Wonderful vibe, esp. on those typical 10-below-zero winter nights up there!

Classic supper club from a great dry martini, through relish tray to on site aged beef. Food was well prepared and tasty. Popovers were exceptional. Desserts looked good to but we were out of room! Would eat here again if in the area.

This place is pretty good for Wisconsin. I ordered the shrimp plate and it was medium sized but they give you salad and a potato so you leave stuffed anyways. The dining room, however, is very dark and mildly feels like you are eating in the cafeteria of a retirement home. They also have a good wine selection and full bar.

Exactly as the other reviews say, tasty but pricey. I ordered pasta primavera, which came with a salad and soup. I had bleu cheese dressing and French onion soup, which were both excellent. My pasta sauce broke a little bit, but it was also very good. They served a plate of fruits and vegetables, suitable for 6 people, though we had 12. We asked for another and they kind of threw a fit. We also asked for more dinner rolls (we were given ONE basket) and they said they would bring more but never did. Our waitress was attentive and knew the menu well. We have a few picky eaters (they'd keel over if their every request isn't met, nobody died!).

Holy shit they charge for tea refills!!! Automatic one star. You can't seriously charge $40 for a steak and then insist on another $1.40 for a tea. Pro tip: if you don't want to go out of business (and I hear there's an Applebee's in town now) try not being so selfish.

The Great: The special was Bacon Wrapped Scallops. They were perfect and plentiful! The Good: The complimentary fruit plate to start is a nice touch. French Onion Soup was very good. The Eh: The Calamari was kind of beer battered. It was heavy and hard to taste the Calamari. More Eh: The Bleu Cheese dressing was thin with little flavor (or Bleu Cheese). After I made a comment about it, the server brought me a little in a cup, which was better. I think the dressing wasn't stirred and mine came from the top, when all the Bleu Cheese was at the bottom. The Bad: I was charged for a fountain soda refill. Never had that happen before. Two sodas - $5. The service was very good. I'll definitely go back (and not order soda and ask them to get my dressing from the bottom of the tub).

Really awful. My "sesame chicken salad" was a hunk of cold unseasoned very dry chicken with raw sesame seeds dumped on top. Wrong dressing (didn't realize until I put it on the salad). The ribs were also pretty dry according to my husband. Waitress was mistaken when she described the potato skin app as having sides, nope just slices of potato for $5 but she did apologize. $40 tab? Yikes. I was going to take the leftover salad home but realized in the car we forgot it. Tried to convince myself to go grab it but just didn't see the point.

I was in Rice Lake for work, looking for a decent place for dinner. A colleague and I went to Lehmans, based on the good Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed! The ambiance is classic supper club, so I was told. The quantity of food served is enormous! For $22, I had french onion soup (amazing!), salad, a gigantic fillet of grilled Walleye fish (well seasoned), and a baked potato. They also serve a place of veggies/fruit and bread. My coworker ordered the cajun pasta, a daily special, and loved it. When in Rice Lake, this is definitely a place not to miss! Sure beats some of the other options in the area (i.e. Applebees).

A client took me to dinner at the Lehmans Supper Club. For the price, I can say that this is a very solid restaurant with very good food. Baked French Onion soup was excellent and all accompanying meals hit the spot. The decor could use some sprucing up, but I suppose that is what you come to expect from a "supper club".

This is a classic supper club and better. Outdoor music on Wednesday nights in the summer. The burgers, soups and desserts are great. Lehmans is an owner/operator restaurant and the great service and friendly environment shows.

Best restaurant in Rice Lake. Excellent fish and steak. My favorite appetizer is the baked brie with cranberry chutney. Chicken dinners are good too. Best French onion soup au gratin ever! Homemade everything :)

Food is excellent. They age their own beef, and it's obvious. It was fortuitous how we learned of Lehman's. We were having Happy Hour at a nearby bar awhile back and asked the bartender where she would recommend going for a nice dinner. She suggested Lehman's and told us she worked there a few years ago and told us how they age their own steaks. We thought it was pretty commendable that a former employee was still raving about the place, and hearing about the aged steaks, thought we had probably received a pretty valid tip. Anyway, all of our food has been truly excellent, and boy do you get enough of it!!! All dinners come with a relish plate that includes not only the normal crudites, but also fresh fruit, cracker basket, soup (the French Onion soup is my second best EVER), salad (large for a dinner salad!), breads and potato (the choices are excellent!). Further, you are blessed with a fresh, out of the oven popover at the end of your meal. It seems like all the servers are wonderful, charming, attentive, funny and knowledgeable. At least, that has been our experience. Downsides? Prices are quite high in my opinion. Prices on some of their specials are a bit more in line, but overall, this place is expensive. However, I guess you have to remember/consider all that you get for the price. Atmosphere? We sat in the bar area...we chose to do this as it was cozier in appearance. The restaurant side was white table cloth, with virtually no decor or anything to break up the fact that it was just a large square room with tables....very sterile. Last note, however, if you are in this area and want a decent meal, trust me, our cabin is about 32 miles from Lehman's, and it's the ONLY place within a 50 mile radius where you will get high quality food. The ONLY place. There are a few other pretenders in the surrounding areas/towns, but they will lack in consistency repeatedly. One day great...the other day lousy, and oftentimes, their prices may be quite similar to Lehman's. It's really not worth the gamble.

We are.doing a drive through the state of my wife's younger years and Rice Lake was on our journey. We checked Yelp for a recommendation and Lehman's came up. The restaurant has the great "Wisconsin Supper Club" feel of our past and the food was wonderful. Our waitress, Kerstin, was very pleasant, and her service was excellent. We both had fish dishes and both quantity and quality couldn't be beat. We're sorry that we will not pass this way again and be able to re-experience this exceptional restaurant.

Sunday fried chicken special is absolutely worth it! We had our in-laws visiting and they were privileged to discover how much better it can get than the KFC and Popeye's they're used to eating in the city. We liked it so much, we went back the following week. Trust me, you're going to be stuffed and still have enough chicken left over to last you the week. Plus, you get all the sides and trimmings to boot! Lehman's has found itself a new, loyal customer. Can't wait to go back!
